Dr. Kristie Peggins is a dual certified nurse practitioner in family and acute care in both the Mississippi and Tennessee area. She has been practicing for over 18 years as a nurse and nurse practitioner in areas including family practice, hospital medicine, cardiology, and nursing education. Dr. Peggins loves to interact with her patients and is dedicated to providing the utmost care. She loves helping patients to broaden their way of looking at healthcare in a more alternative and holistic way. She became intrigued by cannabis and how cannabis works within the human body to help with many medical conditions when her husband had to have back surgery and was prescribed prescription cannabis to help with his pain. She knew that she did not want her husband to become dependent upon narcotics and wanted a more natural approach to treating his pain. Her passion for alternative/holistic care and her hunger for more knowledge on cannabis as medicine led her to obtain a master’s degree in medical cannabis science and therapeutics. She completed her master’s degree in May 2022 and is excited to share all of the knowledge she has gained to help the healthcare community and patients in the Mississippi area. Dr. Peggins opened Green Medical in 2022 to help ensure patients with a qualifying medical condition have the right to obtain and use cannabis in the state of Mississippi.

Dr. Kristie Peggins is married and has three beautiful nieces that she calls her own daughters. When
she is not educating patients and healthcare providers about medical cannabis, she loves spending time
with family and vacationing in San Diego, California.
